Pha Din Pass connects the two provinces of Dien Bien – Son La with an altitude of 1,648m above sea level. <\/font>The pass is also called Pha Din, in the Thai language, Pha means heaven, Din means earth – Pha Din is the place where heaven and earth meet. <\/font>During the Dien Bien Phu campaign, this pass was subjected to thousands of tons of bombs and bullets pouring down, now it has become a National Monument and one of the “four great peaks” in the Northwest.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the early morning, white clouds hover over the mountains, creating a picture of a beautiful landscape like paradise.<\/font><\/font>\"Nh\u1eefng<\/p>\n

The first rays of sunlight are at an altitude of 1,648m above sea level.<\/font><\/font>\"M\u1ed9t<\/p>\n

Heaven and earth seem to be in harmony when white clouds swoop down into the valley…<\/font><\/font>\"M\u1ed9t<\/p>\n

This is a viaduct on the new pass, made in 2006 to avoid dangerous turns, it is 300-400m lower than the old pass.<\/font><\/font>\"M\u1ed9t<\/p>\n

The bends meander around and are as soft as a silk ribbon.<\/font><\/font>\"Gi\u1edd<\/p>\n

Now, the means of transport mainly go on the new pass, however, the old pass, which has received many bombs and bullets, is still kept as a historical vestige and to serve tourism.<\/font><\/font>\"\u0110\u00e8o<\/p>\n

Pha Din Pass has been classified as a National Historic Site \u2013 this is the junction between the new and old pass.<\/font><\/font>\"\u1ede<\/p>\n

At the top of the pass, the temperature is always 5-7 degrees lower than at the foot of the pass and surrounding areas.<\/font><\/font>\"Nh\u1eefng<\/p>\n

In recent years, Pha Din Pass has become an attractive tourist destination attracting many tourists.<\/font><\/font>\"H\u00e0ng<\/p>\n

Dozens of tourist attractions in the area of \u200b\u200bthe top of the pass in both Dien Bien – Son La provinces have been invested to meet the needs of visitors.<\/font><\/font>\"Nh\u1eefng<\/p>\n

Hmong children play with wheelbarrows, which are also for tourists to experience.<\/font><\/font>\"Du<\/p>\n

Visitors can also drive to the top of the mountain to admire the majestic beauty of a pass. <\/font><\/font>

\nTourists often rank Pha Din Pass in one of the “four great passes” in the Northwest. <\/font>Next to O Quy Ho Pass, Khau Pha Pass and Ma Pi Leng Pass. <\/font>Sometimes the pass is ranked in the group of six most impressive passes in Vietnam, including Khau Pha, Hong Thu Man, O Quy Ho, Hai Van and Hon Giao.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
