The revolutionary base holds great historical value<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Responding to President Ho Chi Minh’s call for the nationwide resistance (the night of December 19, 1946), to energize the Northwestern front, in early 1947, the National Army Command continued to send a number of units. troops to the Northwest.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In November 1947, the Central Committee of the Party opened an enlarged conference to review the situation in all aspects after a year of resistance, outline the revolutionary tasks of the new period and issue a resolution on regional work behind the enemy’s back; <\/font>advocated for the two provinces of Son La-Lai Chau to establish the Son-Lai inter-provincial administrative resistance committee.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

On February 29, 1948, the Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People’s Army ordered the establishment of the Northwest Volunteers Committee in order to widen a road to Dien Bien Phu and open the front in the enemy’s heart in Lai Chau.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

To carry out this order, Inter-zone 10 gathered troops and political cadres who were local to build independent companies, armed squads propagated to put the enemy’s rear to operate, and established bases in the rear area. enemy’s back.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

On that basis, 4 teams were established, of which the Quyet Tien Volunteer Team (established on March 15, 1948) built a base in area A (Nghia Lo, Than Uyen, Van Ban… (Yen Bai) ). , development direction to Dien Bien Phu.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

After more than a year of crossing the mountains and forests, experiencing many difficulties and hardships, in May 1949, the Quyet Tien Volunteer Team crossed the Da River and entered Tuan Giao (former Lai Chau).<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Here, taking Pu Nhung commune as the base, Quyet Tien Volunteer Team continues to expand its operation area, the main direction is to develop in the remote highlands, where many Hmong people live, and then move down to the lowlands. to build and develop the revolutionary base. <\/font>The team was determined to build Tuan Giao into a solid springboard to form a development path to Dien Bien Phu (former Lai Chau) and Northern Laos.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In July 1949, the Quyet Tien volunteer team moved its forces to the highlands of Dien Bien to operate. <\/font>Sa Dung commune (now in Dien Bien Dong district, Dien Bien province) was the first location of the team. <\/font>In this highland, the team established the Dien Bien district cadres committee and 6 inter-commune administrative resistance committees with new revolutionary names, of which Sa Dung commune was named Quang Trung. <\/font>Each commune has a guerrilla team of 10-12 people armed with flintlock guns.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

After two years of operation in Lai Chau, Quyet Tien Volunteer Team has built a series of facilities extending from Quynh Nhai district (Son La) through Tuan Giao to Dien Bien (former Lai Chau) and to Northern Laos. <\/font>The facilities that the Team has built in an area of \u200b\u200bmore than 3,000km2 with about 1,300 households.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

During this period, Muong Tinh cave was the place where important meetings took place, where documents, weapons, and food were hidden. guerrilla warfare as well as the first general offensive to liberate Dien Bien in 1953.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In November 1950, at the base of Muong Tinh cave, a local army platoon was established. <\/font>Also here, in February 1952, Dien Bien district army was established with the core of Sa Dung commune guerrilla team, standing side by side with the main army, fighting resiliently, contributing to the historic Dien Bien Phu victory “The splendor of the five continents, shaking the earth.”<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Tourism potential is still open<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

After 65 years of Dien Bien Phu victory (1954), Muong Tinh cave (recognized as a national monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on April 14, 2011) remains in its original state by tectonics, accretion over millions of years.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
