Not too far from Hanoi, more than 3 hours by car is Mai Chau, a vast valley stretching before your eyes, completely different from the noisy and bustling life in the city.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Only 2km from Lac village, Mo Luong Cave is the most visited address by tourists when coming to Mai Chau because of its beauty and convenient distance. <\/font>Belonging to the Pu Kha mountain range system, Mo Luong Cave creates a strange feeling for those who set foot in, because of its wild features in the midst of modern times.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Mo Luong Cave also has another name given by the White Thai people as Bo Luong. <\/font>Bo Luong means big water mine. <\/font>Traveling here, visitors will be told by locals about a unique thrilling story, revolving around the formation of the cave.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

According to legend, on each occasion of the Lunar New Year, Thai people come together to catch fish in deep streams in the region. <\/font>In one fishing session, a woman in Bo village caught an egg three times. <\/font>After each time, she threw it away, on the 4th time, she decided to bring the egg home to incubate, then the egg hatched into a snake. <\/font>Since the snake was born, people have seen the water level in the fields rise. <\/font>Strangely, the villagers brought the snake into the forest, wherever the water rose there, creating conditions for the villagers to reclaim the land into fertile fields.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

To show gratitude to the snake, the villagers brought the snake to Mo Luong cave and the snake turned into a dragon there. <\/font>Every year, on the full moon of the seventh lunar month, people see schools of fish swimming out of the cave for the villagers to catch. <\/font>The villagers believe that the fish was brought back by the dragon to repay the villagers.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Mo Luong Cave has 4 main caves with a depth of about 500 m.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mo Luong Cave has 4 main caves with a depth of about 500 m. <\/font>The first cave is 60m long, 16m wide, 20m high ceiling dome. <\/font>The cave is arranged like a large living room, on the ceiling arches on both sides of the wall, each cluster of stalactites looks like decorative ceiling lights, paintings, and colorful flower bosses.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

The second cave: About 10m higher than the first cave, when entering the cave, the two tourists feel like they have just stepped into another realm. <\/font>It’s a wonderland of rock. <\/font>The two sides of the wall are stalactites like fairies and Buddhas, on the walls are white, yellow, blue, and gray stalactites like sparkling clouds. <\/font>At the foot are stone veins stretching as shiny as a carpet inlaid with silver.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Going through the second cave, visitors will enter the third cave. This is a large cave with an area of \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200babout 400m2 and is cooler than other caves. <\/font>Stalactites fall from the dome like huge teeth, this place is very quiet. <\/font>The last cave is very wide with a height of 25 m, a length of 15 m and a width of 12 m. <\/font>In this cave, there are many stalactites and stone columns with unique shapes. <\/font>Going down to the bottom of the cave, there is an underground stream that pours day and night into Mo Luong lake in front of the mountain.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

During the wars against the French and against the US, this place used to be a base for our army and people to meet and fight the enemy and as a warehouse for weapons and explosives. <\/font>Therefore, the villagers gave the cave another name, Bo Doi cave.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
