San Thang Market is about 5 km from Lai Chau city on Highway 4D. <\/font>The market is held on Thursday morning and Sunday morning every week, very crowded, bustling, colorful by the costumes of the highland ethnic people. <\/font>The people who come to the market are mostly ethnic people around the area. <\/font>They come to the market early, bringing products of the mountains and forests such as wild honey, wild chicken or traditional handicraft products such as towels, clothes, rattan, brocade, etc. The market sells everything from needles, thread to vegetables, potatoes, cassava and even essential products for the family.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Ethnic minorities in the highlands bring to the market all kinds of goods, from agricultural products, mountain products to livestock breeds.<\/font><\/font><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

At the fair, the people seem to know each other, exuding closeness and intimacy. <\/font>Girls and boys from the Lu, Hmong or Dao ethnic groups all have their own excuses to go to the market. <\/font>For many people, going to the market has become a way of life. <\/font>That’s why the market is usually empty and lonely, but in turn, San Thang market is bustling, crowded, and colorful.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
