Co Tien Mountain is more than 50km from Lao Cai city. <\/font>To go here, visitors in the center of Lao Cai will move by motorbike or car along National Highway 4D to Muong Khuong town.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

With the right position of sight, on a flat and wide cliff, like a small shrine carved by the hand of an artisan, the mountain has the shape of a statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, facing the South. .<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

2. Legend of Co Tien Mountain.<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Legend has it that there was a fairy who went to the lower world to travel to spring, when she came here, she saw a strange scene, so her heart was heavy to stay, so this mountain is called Co Tien mountain.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Another legend tells the story of this mountain and explains the name Bac Ha. <\/font>This name originates from a market that the ethnic people call Pac Kha, this market is called Bac Ha by the Vietnamese, ie the market that exists today and the name Bac Ha is also used to name the district and town where it is located. this.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

According to the story, one day, a father and son went out to play at Pac Kha market, suddenly just arrived, the daughter became seriously ill. <\/font>The father tried all means but could not save his son. <\/font>Sadness and despair, he had to cover his son’s body with leaves, and then went down to the village to ask for incense to light his son’s soul from the cold. <\/font>Sympathizing with this situation, the villagers contributed money, together with the old man, brought the girl’s body to the mountain for a funeral.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

When the incense was still burning unfinished, the girl suddenly woke up and spoke as clearly as someone who had just experienced a deep sleep. <\/font>She recounted that she had met Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. <\/font>The Lady Buddha told her to take care of her worship in the mortal world and then led her back to earth.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

When everyone heard this, they were very surprised, and looked up to the sky, at that time they saw a cloud of iridescent colors gathered right above their heads. <\/font>They consider this to be a good omen and to thank Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara for saving his daughter’s life, the father and the villagers hired a man to cut holes in the cliffs, two feet high above the ground, and then sculpt Quan statues. The Bodhisattva to worship.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Up to now, every year on September 19, the villagers bring red cloth and rice here to pray for Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara’s blessing, bring good omens and erase bad omens for the villagers.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

3. The Beauty Of Co Tien Mountain.<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Coming to Co Tien mountain, visitors not only get to know more about the local traditional culture of the highlanders, but also enjoy the wonderful natural landscape.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Co Tien Mountain has the majestic beauty of the Northwest mountains, but is still lost in the blue sky. <\/font>Sometimes, like the name “Co Tien” with a gentle appearance, a shy girl appears among the white clouds.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

When standing at the foot of the mountain, visitors will see simple villages in the middle of immense terraced fields. <\/font>If you come to Co Tien mountain in the ripe rice season, the scenery will be more beautiful, the golden color of the field attracts thousands of tourists to visit.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

When you go to the Southwest and Northeast of the mountain, you will come to the source of Coc Len waterfall and Sao Do waterfall. <\/font>Two waterfalls flow through Ma Tuyen and Sang Chai villages, Tung Chung commune, the street intersects at Ham Rong cave. <\/font>This place is the headwater of Tung Lau stream, a beautiful and clear stream all year round, the main source of irrigation for Lau and Muong Khuong fields.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
