Where is An Ma temple located?<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/h3>\n

An Ma Temple is an ancient temple worshiping Buddha, Lord Son Trang, Duc Thanh Tran, Mother Thuong Ngan… located on An Ma Island in the middle of Ba Be Lake. <\/font>An Ma Temple is not only a place to pray and visit, but also a place to organize the annual Ba Be Spring Festival on the 10th of January and the An Ma Festival held on the 6th of the 2nd lunar month.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

An Ma Temple has great significance for the people here, it is associated with the legend of Ba Be Lake. <\/font>According to the story in the past, the whole area was fertile land and lush trees, but because the people offended the god Giao Long, the soil and rock cracked in half and the water swept away all there were only 2 good-natured widows and children. escape and save people from the flood.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Later, grateful to the widow who saved the lives of all the people, they built An Ma temple to worship. <\/font>Every year the villagers will hold the Long Tong festival from the 10th to the 12th in January to pray for peace, luck, and blessings for the family and people in the family.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In addition to the legend of the widow, tourists  <\/font><\/font>traveling to Ba Be lake <\/font><\/font><\/b> can also hear another legend about An Ma temple. <\/font>The main temple is the place to worship the generals and soldiers of the Mac Dynasty in the war against Le Mac. <\/font>Legend has it that after losing the battle, the generals spurred their horses to run to Puong Cave and died there. <\/font>To commemorate the sacrifices of the villagers for the construction of the temple, however, to avoid revenge from the Le dynasty, the name of the Mac family was changed to the Ma family. <\/font>And the name of An Ma temple so far we know is the Tay name, which translates to ‘beautiful peaceful grave’, so that the old soldiers can rest in peace.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
