<\/font><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">obtained 5 machine guns, 4 submachine guns, 10 rifles, some ammunition, grenades. <\/font><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This battle shook the enemy&#8217;s post system, failed the strategy of setting up a post to pacify the occupied area, and put pressure on the enemy to withdraw from Bac Kan town. <\/font><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The battle of Fort Phu Thong marked the maturity of our army in terms of thinking ability and combat methods in the war.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It is known that General Vo Nguyen Giap assessed: &#8220;The victory at Phu Thong was the first battle of our troops to destroy the French elite fortified company with solid fortifications. <\/font><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The victory brought confidence and experience, and made great contributions to our troops advancing on the road of siege, especially in the Border Liberation campaign and in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, in general in all 30 years. year of resistance&#8221;. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">On March 27, 1998, Phu Thong Fort was classified as a historical relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information. <\/font><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">On June 1, 1999, the people and people&#8217;s armed forces of Phu Thong town were honored to be conferred the title of Hero of the People&#8217;s Armed Forces by the Party and State. <\/font><font style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This is a place that should not be missed when&nbsp;
