Dong Lan Pagoda has a long history, built during the Le – Mac dynasties. <\/font>In 1997, the pagoda was recognized as a provincial historical and cultural relic.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Under the Ly Dynasty (late 11th century), Dong Lan Pagoda was built to worship Buddha. <\/font>Before the pagoda was built, at Dong Lan mound, there was a temple to worship Tran Quy and Tran Kien. <\/font>The book “Cao Bang Thuc Luc” has many details about the origin and special talents of brothers Tran Quy and Tran Kien. <\/font>Their father, Tran Trieu, got married to a fairy wife, so his two sons were taught many miracles. <\/font>When they reached adulthood, the fairy mother had to return to heaven, her father also went to the mountain to study the fairy religion, the two brothers Tran Quy and Tran Kien remembered their parents’ advice, carried swords around the area to find and kill monsters. , except for the people. <\/font>In the Le dynasty, Tran Kien was promoted to Cai Cong Dai Vuong, Lower rank god; <\/font>Tran Quy is Dong Lan Dai Vuong, middle class god. <\/font>Remembering the merits of the two young men, the people set up a spring and autumn shrine to worship.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In the pagoda, there is also an incense bowl to worship Thach Sanh – a legendary character of the Tay people. <\/font>Thach Sanh slashed the shepherd to death, protecting the peaceful life of the people. <\/font>Currently, the pagoda consists of the main church with 5 front halls and one main hall; <\/font>There is also an ancestral church.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In 2007, with the approval of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha appointed a monk to be the abbot at the temple. <\/font>The pagoda is a place for Buddhist followers in many parts of the province to come to worship Buddha.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Every year, on the 8th day of the first lunar month, the pagoda opens a festival. <\/font>The ceremony is performed from the evening of the 7th. During the festival, many folk games are held to attract visitors from all over the world to come and celebrate.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
