Before talking about Tu San gorge, we need to learn about  <\/font><\/font>Ma Pi Leng<\/font><\/font><\/b>  – the most dangerous pass in the “four great peaks” of the northern mountains of Vietnam.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Ma Pi Leng, or Ma Pi Leng, means “horse nose bridge” in the H’Mong language, refers to the steep and dangerous slopes of the mountains, the road is as steep as the bridge of a horse’s nose. <\/font>The pass over the top of Ma Pi Leng mountain has an altitude of about 1,200m, belonging to Dong Van Stone Plateau, Ha Giang province. <\/font>In the past, people could only walk and climb mountains. <\/font>Within 6 years (1959 – 1965), tens of thousands of young volunteers carved out little by little, creating a “Happiness road” 20km long, of which the Ma Pi Leng pass was cleared in 11 months. . <\/font>Although this pass is not long, it is the most dangerous pass and is also likened to the “king of the passes in Vietnam”.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Only a few years ago, when the Nho Que river had not been blocked as a hydroelectric dam, very few people had access to the dangerously steep Tu San cliff. <\/font>The house closest to the gorge must be hundreds of meters away, so visitors traveling to  <\/font><\/font>Ha Giang <\/font><\/font><\/b> can only see this wonder from Ma Pi Leng pass. <\/font>However, now that the hydroelectric dam has been blocked, making the Nho Que river more peaceful and quiet, people here have used motor boats to take advantage of tourism to transport visitors to this gorge.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
