Bac Le Temple<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/em>  is located in Tan Thanh commune, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province and is about 80km from the center of Lang Son city. <\/font>To get here, you have to cross a red dirt road more than 10km long from the center of Huu Lung town.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

This place is an architectural complex located on a high hill, below are shady green trees that are not less than hundreds of years old. <\/font>The temple is the place to worship Ba Chua Thuong Ngan – the goddess of the mountain. <\/font>The people here believe that she is the one who looks after and distributes valuable resources to people from the mountains and forests. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Lady Chua Thuong Ngan is one of the three goddesses of the Holy Mother Goddess in Vietnamese belief: Mother Thuong Thien rules over heaven, Mother Thuy rules over rivers, and Mother Thuong Ngan governs mountains and forests. <\/font>Along with Lady Chua Thuong Ngan, the temple also honors a real character in this land, Adoration Be – you are the treasures living in the area who can act and help on behalf of the Holy Mother. petitions of the people.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

The temple has ancient features tinged with time along with modern features due to extensive renovation and is a novelty that attracts tourists from all over the country to visit. <\/font>The temple has undergone 5 reconstructions. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

To date, it is still not possible to determine the exact construction time of the temple. <\/font>Just know that, in the temple, there are 2 epitaphs left over from the beginning of the 20th century in 1919 and 1933. According to the inscription in 1919, the 4th year of Khai Dinh, in front of the temple is just a small shrine that is prone to fires. So the people here then decided to build a 3-room house with 3 palaces bearing the artistic silhouette of Chinese architecture. <\/font>After the renovation, the temple was gradually expanded to add the Third Palace along with the tall Tam Quan gate built outside the three levels.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

The landscape of Bac Le Lang Son temple<\/font><\/font><\/h2>\n

Coming to  <\/font><\/font>Bac Le Lang Son temple<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/em> , visitors seem to be immersed in the space of the mountains and forests. <\/font>With the architecture of 3 compartments: First – Second – Third (forbidden palace), the temple has an area of \u200b\u200bup to 126m2. <\/font>In front of the temple is a very large Tam Quan gate built to welcome all visitors from all over the world. <\/font>After many renovations, the temple still retains its original beauty.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

The main temple has a Dinh character structure including the sacrifice and the harem. <\/font>The front house has a roof designed with a double-headed dragon adoring statue symbolizing heaven and earth, yin and yang to show the harmony of all things in nature.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In addition to the main worship space of the temple, there is also a small space of about 10m2 to worship the Beloved Gods. <\/font>The left side in front is worshiping the Five Tigers outdoors. <\/font>Currently,  <\/font><\/font>Bac Le Lang Son temple<\/font><\/font><\/em><\/strong>  has 19 statues, large and small, mainly made of wood, along with many colorful medical subjects and couplets on both sides of the aisle. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Bac Le Lang Son Temple Festival<\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/em>  is one of <\/font><\/font> the major festivals in Lang Son<\/font><\/font><\/em><\/strong> , held within 3 days from the 18th to the 20th day of the 9th lunar month every year. <\/font>The festival includes many important ceremonies, such as the bathing ceremony, the main party, the procession, etc. Every year, during the festival season, the temple attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

The throne bathing ceremony will take place first. <\/font>Bac Le people will go to the temple to collect spring water to clean the statue of Mother Thuong Ngan and the throne of King Ngoc Hoang. <\/font>After the throne bathing ceremony is the main feast. <\/font>The ceremony must have enough sacrifices: pigs, chickens, fish along with many other offerings such as elephants, horses, boats, hats, dolls, … made of paper. <\/font>The procession will take place afterwards. <\/font>People will take the mother by car to Deo Keng temple – one of the relics related to Bac Le Lang Son temple to make a sacrifice. After the sacrifice is complete, people carry the Mother back to the temple to perform the sacrifice ceremony here. .<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
