(HNMCT) – Phung Thanh Pagoda is located at 43 Cong Trang lane (Trung Phung ward, Dong Da district). <\/font>According to historical records, the pagoda was built during the Ly Dynasty (XI century) and has undergone many renovations in history. <\/font><\/font><\/strong><\/p>\n

Legend has it that the predecessor of Phung Thanh Pagoda was a shrine to worship a very beautiful Ly Dynasty princess, often helping people around the area. <\/font>Later, the temple was enlarged and became the Phung Thanh pagoda. <\/font>It can be said that Phung Thanh Pagoda is one of the temples with the longest history in Hanoi.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Historically, Phung Thanh Pagoda has been destroyed many times by wars. <\/font>That was when the Tay Son insurgent army, under the command of Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue, marched to the North to drive away the Thanh army and liberate Thang Long (1789). <\/font>At this time, due to being located in an area of \u200b\u200bfierce fighting between the two sides, Phung Thanh Pagoda was destroyed. <\/font>In the Nguyen Dynasty, the pagoda was restored.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In December 1972, when the US dropped B52 bombs on Kham Thien Street, the Tam Bao Phung Thanh Pagoda was completely destroyed. <\/font>After that, the pagoda was renovated but was seriously encroached on by the households for a long time. <\/font>It took many years for Dong Da district to complete the compensation for the households to clear the ground and return the temple grounds to its present state. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Although located in the middle of a crowded residential area, the temple grounds are quite airy and peaceful. <\/font>Tam Quan pagoda is built in the style of two storeys and 8 roofs, with a fire sun on the roof and stylized leaf dragon blades. <\/font>Through the three gates is a large circular lake, in the middle is the Quan Am floor, connected to the shore by an elaborately embossed dragon bridge. <\/font>Around the lake, there are bell tower, drum floor, gong floor, tomb tower. <\/font>Behind is the Three Jewels, the Ancestor’s house, the Mother’s house, the guest house, and a large surrounding garden. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Tam Bao pagoda has the structure of the word “Ding”, including the front hall and the upper hall. <\/font>The Ancestral House has a similar structure. <\/font>The sets are linked together in the style of “Thuong husband ruong gi gong, low-castle, veranda”, with sophisticated carved patterns, with the artistic style of the Nguyen Dynasty. <\/font>The Mausoleum is the place to worship the Holy Mother Mother, the Five Tons, and the Holy Tran Hung Dao Dai Vuong, etc. In the temple, there are still 29 round statues, 2 bronze bells, 9 stone steles and a system of hammock doors. , great letters, book of letters, incense and precious scriptures.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

With long-standing historical and cultural values, Phung Thanh Pagoda was ranked as a national relic in 1988.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
