About Ghenh Temple Hung Yen <\/font><\/font><\/h2>\n

Ghenh Temple <\/font><\/font><\/em><\/strong> is located in Ngoc Quynh village, Van Lam town, Hung Yen. <\/font>The temple was built in 1115 and became the place to keep the historical imprint of <\/font><\/font> Queen Mother Nguyen Phi \u1ef6 Lan<\/font><\/font><\/em> . <\/font>She is a woman of integrity, talent and integrity, a model that is respected by many people because she spends her life taking care of the country for the people. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

About the Empress Dowager Nguyen Phi Lan <\/font><\/font><\/h2>\n

Royal Thai Queen Nguyen Phi \u1ef6 Lan<\/font><\/font><\/em><\/strong>  is commonly known as Le Thi Khiet. <\/font>She is a beautiful intelligent village woman and the only woman in the country who has been twice regent on behalf of the king to rule the country. <\/font>At the age of 25, King Ly Thanh Tong was busy fighting in the border, so she and the officials discussed and made bold decisions to overcome the raging famine. <\/font>In addition, she also introduced a number of policies to promote production, severely punish corrupt and rebellious mandarins when the king left the palace to fight for the throne. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

In 1072, when the Crown Prince succeeded to the throne Ly Thanh Tong at a young age, she and the royal lieutenant Ly Thuong Kiet helped the court maintain discipline to defeat the invasion plots of the Song army. <\/font>It was Hoang Thai Queen \u1ef6 Lan who was instrumental in bringing folk dancing into the royal court. <\/font>In particular, she encouraged the development of agriculture, built dykes against floods, developed handicrafts, made irrigation and banned the killing of cattle and plows. <\/font>She is very concerned about the poor people, taking money from the court to redeem the good girls who had to sell themselves to pay their debts and find husbands for them. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Queen Mother Lan passed away on July 25, 1117, at the age of 73. <\/font>After her death, she was brought to the capital and cremated. <\/font>The ashes were brought to Ly’s hometown in Thien Duc Palace. <\/font>To commemorate the merits of the benevolent Queen Queen, the people of Van Lam village held ceremonies on the exact date of her birth and death. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

According to recorded history and through the stories of the seniors of Ngoc Quynh village, <\/font><\/font> Ghenh temple<\/font><\/font><\/em><\/strong>  was once a place to gather troops of Bai Say insurgents. <\/font>In addition, this place was also the point of self-defense teams of many communes, which organized to seize power over the people, held meetings in 1945.
