Mai An Tien temple is located in Nga Phu commune, Nga Son district, 5km northeast of Nga Son district town. <\/font>The simple little temple is nestled on the side of the mountain but contains a beautiful legend that has been handed down for generations.<\/font><\/font><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
The architecture of the temple is quite simple, the temple is structured in the shape of Dinh, including 5 front compartments and 4 harem compartments modeled after the Vietnamese temple and communal house architecture, with a traditional four-pillar gate. <\/font>The interior of the temple is dignified and neat. <\/font>Visiting the temple of legendary character – Mai An Tiem, who gave birth to the red watermelon, everyone has an emotional mood about a symbol of the spirit of overcoming difficulties, diligence and creativity in labor.<\/font><\/font>

Legend: During the reign of the 6th Hung King, Mai Yen – An Tiem’s \u200b\u200bname was originally Thuong Thu Lai Bo Xuan Thu, due to many merits, so he was loved by the king and gave his daughter in marriage. <\/font>Beloved by the king, he was envied and slandered by the lost courtiers, and detractors; once because of displeasing the king, he and his family were exiled to a deserted island to live. <\/font>Thanks to the crows who left the fruit to eat, Mai Yen tried to drive the crows away and tasted it, it was delicious and sweet, so she planted the seeds, the first season gave many fruits and that fruit fed Mai Yen’s family. This is what they call a watermelon. <\/font>This case followed the other, the watermelons were more and more abundant, Mai Yen’s family could not use it all, they immediately thought of a way, carved words into the peels, dropped them into the sea, the tide pushed the melons ashore, the Quan Quan saw that and immediately told him. When the king went to the king, everyone ate and rejoiced and praised the delicious food. <\/font>The king knew that Mai Yen and his wife and children weren’t dead, but still remembered the king and tried to offer delicious fruit; <\/font>The king immediately ordered Mai Yen to return to the mainland to restore the title.<\/font><\/font>

With deep folk meaning, in the first year of Duy Tan, the king ordained Ngoai village, Nga Son district to worship Mai Yen with the title An Tiem Duc Bao Trung Hung, the god of worship. <\/font>In the 9th year of Khai Dinh, the king conferred Doan tuc as the god and color for Ngoai village to continue worshiping. <\/font>In particular, the standard of ordination allows worship, used according to the national day ceremony.<\/font><\/font>

Mai An Tiem Festival is held every year on the 12th to 14th day of the third lunar month<\/font><\/font><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
