This old house was built in 1810, belongs to the 7th generation Pham Ngoc Tung of the Pham family. <\/font>According to Mr. Tung, when building this house, his great-grandfather worked as an official of the Bat products of the Nguyen court. <\/font>He invited the best craftsmen of the old Nam Ha province (now in Ha Nam province) and Dat Tai carpenter village (now in Hoang Dat commune – Hoang Hoa – Thanh Hoa) to build this house.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The house is 9.8m wide, 21.5m long, 5m high, including 7 compartments: 3 main compartments and 4 auxiliary compartments, 3 middle compartments are worshiping and living areas.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Most of the house frames, columns, paddles, doors… are made of precious woods, in which pine wood is used the most because of its lightness and low termite properties. <\/font>Each pattern, pattern, and sculpture on the trusses has its own meaning and does not overlap, but is always opposite and symmetrical.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In Mr. Tung’s house, there are 8 parallel sentences written in Han Nom with the seal of the king. <\/font>This is also a part of creating the ancient and solemn of the house. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
