2. History of Phuc Khanh Pagoda

According to the abbot’s share, Phuc Khanh Pagoda was built under the Tran Dynasty and has undergone many renovations and repairs.

In the 30s of the 20th century, the temple continued to be repaired and became the country’s Buddhist university.

So pagoda has trained many high-ranking monks and nuns, making it the mainstay of Vietnamese Buddhism.

Note: Today, the Buddhist school site has been moved to another location, not on the temple grounds.

Next, the harem of the temple consists of three compartments. In the middle, place the altar of the ancestors who have merit to enlighten, maintain and develop the pagoda. Next to it is a place to worship the Holy Mother.

Behind is the ancestral house, the place to worship the Great Patriarch Calendar and the abbots of the temple.
