Besides this village, around the lake there are also villages of Lien Thuy to the north and west, Quang Hoa to the southwest and Phap Hoa to the south. A street vendor by Thien Quan lake
During the French colonial period, the lake was gradually filled to open the street. It wasn’t until the 1930s that the lake was shaped like its present appearance. Also due to the opening of a new street, the villages along the lake were deleted and people had to move. Three pagodas of the three villages of Thien Quang, Phap Hoa, and Quang Hoa were cornered to the west shore of the lake, which belongs to Lien Thuy village’s land, which still exists and now carries the number plates 31-33 Tran Binh Trong street.
Traveling to Hanoi to visit this famous tourist attraction, visitors will have the opportunity to admire the stele engraved in 1882 telling about the history of the pagoda. Quang Hoa Pagoda also has a stele engraved in 1880 talking about the construction of the temple. The stele of Phap Hoa pagoda dates back to 1831. As for the pagoda of Lien Thuy village, it was not until 1926 that it was demolished, now it is house number 62 Nguyen Du street.

In the southwest corner of the lake, there is a floating house, now the Hanoi Youth Club, where art performances and dances are held.
