The museum building is a square block with beveled corners, placed diagonally, nearly 20m high, each 70m long bearing the symbol of an ethereal white lotus. The four square blocks on the top floor are both lotus petals and four doors overlooking Hung Vuong Street, Uncle’s stilt house, Ngoc Ha Street, and Nguyen Thai Hoc Street.

It is the stylization from these 4 square blocks that connect the architecture of the building with the surrounding natural landscape. From Hung Vuong Street along Chua One Pillar Street leading to the main door of the Museum, the road is like a hyphen between historical tradition and Ho Chi Minh era. On the front of the Museum, on an 8m square on each side is a large bas-relief of the national flag and hammer and sickle interwoven, expressing the thought of national independence and socialism – the goal of the path that Uncle Ho, the Party and the people of the world have achieved. An artificial circular lake with a diameter of 18m with a natural stone rockery in Hoa Lu region over 7m high next to the building creates a more lively and close scene of the museum area. Uncle Uncle’s bronze statue placed in the center
The solemn space has a height of more than 9m, the dome ceiling symbolizes the sky, the floor is decorated with flowers and leaves of the country’s four seasons. The center places a full-body bronze statue of President Ho Chi Minh. The statue is 3m high, on 0.6m pedestal, weighs 3 tons.
The museum was inaugurated on May 19, 1990, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh “a hero of national liberation, an outstanding culturalist”, as the Resolution of the Educational and Scientific Organization and culture of the United Nations (UNESCO).
