The distance from the foot of the mountain to the top is about 30km, through many different terrains such as bare hills, bamboo forests, big wooden forests, dwarf bamboo forests to moss-covered cliffs.

To climb Bach Moc Luong Tu, you can choose one of two routes:
- The first road you start from Den Sung village, Sin Suoi Ho commune, Phong Tho district, Lai Chau.
- The second road starts from Ky Quan San village, Sang Ma Sao commune, Bat Xat district, Lao Cai. This is also the road chosen by more people because the road is not too steep and easy to go.

– Day one: you take a bus from big bus stations in Hanoi such as My Dinh, Giap Bat to Sapa town. The average driving time is about 4 hours with the ticket price ranging from 250,000 to 300,000 VND. Or you can choose train. It is best to come to Sapa in the evening to have time to rest and relax before starting the journey to conquer and discover Bach Moc Luong Tu.
– Second day: rent a motorbike in Sapa town at the price of 100,000 – 150,000 VND/car/day and then move to Ky Quan San village. Here, you park your motorbike, call the guide and start your journey.
At first, the path is trails, you will have to cross the fields and the cardamom-making path of the villagers. Next you will have to cross the stream, depending on the season, the water in the stream may be more or less, but you need to be careful when moving through here because the water is quite cold and the moss on the rocks grows a lot, which is very slippery. fail. It will take about 3 hours for you to come out of the jungle, cross the extremely steep road with craggy cliffs to reach the top of Salt Mountain. This place is considered by many people to have a more beautiful view of clouds than Bach Moc Luong Tu.
After watching the sunrise, it will take you about 5 more hours to climb to the top of Bach Moc Luong Tu mountain. Coming here, you will feel like you have won an extremely difficult challenge and the fairy-like scenery is a worthy reward for the effort to surpass yourself.
You will stay here for one night, the next morning go down the mountain back to Sapa to eat and drink and catch the night bus back to Hanoi, ending the challenging and interesting journey to conquer Bach Moc Luong Tu.
An experience when climbing the mountain you need to note is to go very evenly and focus on breathing. Try to climb until very tired to rest, and at the same time avoid resting for too long, which can make the body cold and the joints easily fatigue. 4. Things to prepare and note before climbing Bach Moc Luong Tu

- Specialized climbing gear: Things that will help you get around easily: canes, a good pair of climbing shoes, glasses with straps (if you use glasses), lozenges to prevent dry neck and a good backpack so as not to chip in the middle of the road.
