According to historical records, in 1897, Truong Tien Bridge was designed and completed by the French ambassador of the Middle Ages LevΓ©cque for the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, designed and completed in 1899.
Until today, Truong Tien Bridge has connected the banks of the Perfume River for 114 years and is older than Long Bien Bridge – the famous bridge of Hanoi capital.

In the Nguyen Dynasty, the bridge was named Nguyen Hoang Bridge , who had openly opened up Thuan Hoa land between the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century and finally Truong Tien Bridge (Trang Tien) due to its location. of the bridge over the Perfume River near the former mint of the Nguyen Dynasty.

And Truong Tien Bridge also has bulging balconies to rest, enjoy the scenery or avoid the way. Nine years later, the bridge collapsed on both sides of the left bank due to landmines during the Vietnam-France war. In 1953, the bridge was repaired again.
In 1968, Truong Tien Bridge once again collapsed into the blue Perfume River . It was not until 1991, that this bridge was restored again and lasted for another 5 years.
In 2002, Truong Tien Bridge was installed with a modern lighting system.
