From the center of Ha Tinh city, the distance to Hang Pagoda is about 30km. This temple is also far from the city. Vinh – Nghe An is only 25km. Besides Hang Pagoda, Ha Tinh is also famous for many other spiritual tourist attractions such as:  Huong Tich Pagoda , Bich Chau Temple, etc. However, Hang Pagoda is still a destination chosen by many tourists because of its sacredness and nature. Previously, Hong Linh mountain had 8 main gates and many famous caves such as Ham Rong cave, 12 Cua cave, Da Hang cave, etc. The explanations about Hang Pagoda in Ha Tinh did not specifically record this temple appearing. since when.

In the 80s of the 19th century, a man named Tran Van Phu (residing in Bac Hong ward, Hong Linh town) called for people to spend their efforts and money to embellish the pagoda. He discovered this temple while picking medicinal leaves in the mountains. 

Initially, this temple was just a small cave buried by soil and rocks, covered with many layers of moss showing the mark of time. When it was first discovered, deep inside the cave there were a few rotten Buddha statues, some worshiping utensils were left but were also damaged. In addition, around there are more foundations of a number of works such as: Quan The Am station, Tang house, ancestral house, etc.

Discovering the temple, Mr. Phu was extremely concerned, thinking whether he was entrusted with the responsibility by the Buddha? Therefore, he mobilized people to reduce and embellish. The good news spread far and wide, more and more people knew about Hang Pagoda in Ha Tinh. 

2.2. Unique architecture of Hang Pagoda in Ha Tinh

Specifically, the temple was built at the base of the cave located in the Hong Linh mountain range. The road to the temple is very winding, surrounded by a vast pine forest. Therefore, when moving to the temple, you will feel lost in a fairyland, fresh and cool space.

• House of Sangha

• You should choose elegant and neat clothes when going to a spiritual place. Prepare with sunscreen, umbrella, hat because the weather in Ha Tinh is quite hot in the summer.
• Walk gently, do not talk loudly, laugh inside the tourist attraction of Hang Ha Tinh pagoda. 
• The ritual of worshiping the Buddha is arbitrary. You should ask the management board about which department to worship first. Some temples have very clear regulations on the principle of offering sacrifices, so you can also carefully inquire before doing so. The monks do not charge any fees during the ceremony.

• Put the merit money in the right place, do not scatter change everywhere, do not burn too much incense, affecting the neighboring forest area. 
• If you need to stay overnight, you need to bring your identity card or identification document. If you want to eat at the temple, you need to notify 2 hours in advance to the team on duty in the Tam Bao area.
