Lu Temple is a tourist destination in Hoang Mai District (Hanoi City in the Red River Delta region). It is about 7 km from Hanoi city center.
Lu Temple, named Lu Giang Tu, worshiping Pham Nguu Tat and Pham To Thu, dating from 1399, is located on the section of Hoang Mai street running along Kim Nguu river, in Hoang Van Thu ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi. Initially, Lu Temple worshiped two generals of Tran Khat Chan, Pham Nguu Tat and Pham To Thu. Later, the temple also worshiped Princess Thuy Tinh and worshiped Marshal Tran Hung Dao. At the Lu Giang temple, many valuable artifacts are still preserved: 3 orders of ordination by the Nguyen kings for Mau Lieu; two bronze bells cast in the Nguyen Dynasty; 3 sets of dragon throne tablets; 8 gilded wooden shrines; 7 pink phoenix pictures; 8 pairs of old painted wooden couplets; 4 stone steles of the Le and Nguyen dynasties. Every year, the Lu Giang temple festival is opened twice in August and March. The August festival is the main one, held on the auspicious day of King Tran Quoc Tuan (August 20 of the lunar calendar).
