According to historical records, the temple was built in the post-Le dynasty. Experiencing historical ups and downs, the temple was destroyed. In 1995, the temple was restored by the government of Nghe An province and became a famous cultural and religious destination. Quan Hoang Muoi temple area consists of three palaces: Upper Palace, Middle Palace and Lower Palace. The temple building materials are all made of wood, painted with vermilion and carved with elaborate dragon, unicorn, turtle and phoenix motifs.
