She was born into a family that worked in medicine and treatment, grew up a girl who is not only beautiful but also beautiful, literary and martial, rich in compassion, patriotic, and loving the people.
At the age of 18, Thu Nuong was engaged to the son of the head of the district β Pham Danh Huong. Before the wedding day, Thuc Nuong was captured by To Dinh’s soldiers – at that time the Imperial Beast of the Northern feudalists and forced to marry him. To Dinh is known as a man who is greedy for money, greedy for color and extremely cruel. Thuc Nuong was determined not to submit, so To Dinh tried to kill Thuc Nuong’s father and Pham Danh Huong and tried to find her.

Knowing that job, Thuc Nuong was helped by the villagers to escape, found a way to the riverbank, rowed a boat for a few days, then reached Da Cuong land, went to Tien La Niang temple thanks to Buddha’s door. Here, she recruited soldiers forever to revolt against the Northern invaders with the four golden words “Battle General” to avenge her father and innocent people.
Since then, the insurgent army led by her has grown stronger and stronger, at the same time, she heard that Hai Ba Trung revolted in Hoc Mon, and Thu Nuong immediately joined forces with Hai Ba Trung to defeat the enemy. Thuc Nuong was promoted to Dong Nhung Dai General. At that time, the Han Dynasty sent Ma Vien to invade our country again. The enemy was strong, the army was weak, by the end of year 43, our insurgent army had suffered a heavy defeat, Hai Ba Trung had sacrificed heroically. Thuc Nuong and the insurgent army retreated to entrench themselves at Tien La. But being defeated and besieged to the end, on March 17, 43, she drew her sword to kill herself at Kim Quy mound by the Tien Hung river. The people mourned and built a temple to commemorate her merits.

Built on Kim Quy mound with an area of ββmore than 6,000m2, Tien La Temple has a “first-in-the-back” structure in the correct ancient style from columns, trusses to curved domes bearing the shape of a flying dragon. The temple has three main halls: Dai Bai (Tien sacrifice), Trung Te and Hau palace. The shrine buildings or the upper hall were built of wood, elaborately carved with dragon – unicorn – Quy – phoenix shapes, alternating with pine – bamboo – chrysanthemum – apricot shapes.
