The monument “President Ho Chi Minh and the people of Quang Binh” is located in the central square, facing the east, in front of the parade street, the paved square and the lawn; Behind is a landscaped hill with green trees, grass and walkways.
The monument consists of 7 figures made of copper alloy material, 2.5cm thick, 3m high pedestal. Uncle Ho is the central character, the height of Uncle Ho statue is 5.4m; The remaining characters are from 3.2-5.31m high, including: children’s characters representing the young generation, female characters representing agriculture, male characters representing fisheries, male characters ( soldiers) represent the armed forces, male characters (workers) represent workers, intellectuals, Bru Van Kieu ethnic female characters represent ethnic minorities in Quang Binh province.
The entire group of statues are placed on a 3-meter-high stone pedestal, showing Uncle Ho’s charisma and costume at the historical time when Uncle Ho visited Quang Binh in 1957, met and talked with his compatriots, officials, soldiers in Quang Binh province. A group of characters representing all walks of life in Quang Binh province are shown focusing on looking at Uncle Ho with a sincere heart.
Behind the cluster of statues is the symbol of a sail, meaning that Quang Binh is sailing through the waves, reaching out to sea, emulating and studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings. The sail is made of 20m high bluestone material, the core is reinforced concrete structure.
The two sides of the monument space is the area of the stands for delegates to be held on the great occasions of the province, in front of the monument, there is a space to place a memorial wreath.
The area behind the cluster of monuments is embossed to form a green tree hill with a gentle slope, the top of the hill is about 7m high compared to the ground of the square in front of the statue cluster to create a wind background, at the temple layout area. Ho Chi Minh president.
