The highlight of this beautiful Hmong village is a heart-shaped waterfall located deep in the forest. The waterfall is also a symbol of the villagers, so everything in the village is inspired by the heart, including the tea table, resting in the middle of the forest.

Rustic places to relax in the middle of the forest

The Mong people say that in the past, in the village, there was a talented boy who loved a beautiful girl. But, the young man had to go to war. The news of his death flew back, causing her grief, going to places or dating, crying all her tears, and then turning into a stream.

But then, one day the boy returned. The news that he died in battle was just a rumor. He was sad, so he also went there crying and screaming. He died, turned into a heart-shaped rock. The waterfall and the rock are intertwined, proving faithful love.

There is another version of this beautiful waterfall. It is said that the fairy went down to the stream to bathe, met the Mong boy and they fell in love, unable to leave.

But then, she had to go to heaven to ask permission of the Jade Emperor. They made an appointment to meet at this place. The Jade Emperor did not agree and sent her to prison.

On the day of the appointment, not seeing her, the Mong man suffered. He tore his chest, threw his heart on the cliff. The heart suddenly turned to stone.

The fairy did not eat, did not sleep, and was exhausted, so the Jade Emperor mercifully released her to the lower world. Knowing that her lover was dead, she sat on a heart-shaped rock crying, then turned into a waterfall.
