In addition to the name Van Mo, the waterfall is also known by other names such as Choi waterfall, Nine floors waterfall. However, people are still used to calling it Thac Mo, shortening the old name to make it closer.

Journey to Van Mo Waterfall

Van Mo waterfall is located in Cu Thang commune, Thanh Son district, Phu Tho province. The route from Thanh Thuy town is about 10 kilometers here. At the end of 2016, the government built a fairly large road here, so now 45 cars can also participate in traffic comfortably.

From Hanoi, visitors going directly here without going through Thanh Thuy will follow the route:

Hanoi – Thang Long Boulevard – Take the road through the cultural village of Vietnamese ethnic groups – Pass the K9 Da Cho relic site – Dong Quang bridge turn left – follow the dike road to find Cu Thang commune, find the Agricultural Development Bank In Tat Thang countryside, go to this area and ask for the way to Van Mo Waterfall, from here it’s only about 4 km, but going on a hilly road, there are no signs at all, you have to take the initiative to ask people for directions.
