Lang Son ancient citadel  (also known as Doan Thanh) belongs to Chi Lang ward. The citadel was ranked as a national relic in 1999.

Lang Son ancient citadel is a military architectural relic, has a very important position in defending the military defense at the gateway of the country. The citadel was built to become a political, economic and cultural center of Lang Son in the feudal period.
