Visit Truc Lam Phuong Hoang Zen Monastery

Nham Bien town, Yen Dung District, Bac Giang province, VietNam

 was built from the foot to the middle of Non Vua mountain.

This is the highest peak in the Nham Bien range.

The top of Non Vua has a Sky Well, also known as Thien Hue, with clean and cool water all year round.

At the foot of Non Vua mountain is Hang Dau slot which is known as the gathering place of Nguyet Nham of 9 Phuong mountains, abundant water source, diverse vegetation.

The monastery is located in Minh Phuong village, Nham Son commune, 2 km from the district center and about 10 km from Bac Giang city.

The architecture of the Zen Monastery has many unique features, linking the sanctity, imbued with Vietnamese Buddhist cultural identity, and blending with the sacred soul of the mountains and rivers here.

The first highlight is the road on the side of the mountain.

From the foot of the Zen Monastery to the Tam Quan gate is a path for visitors to walk over 300 wide stone steps.

Tam Quan Gate welcomes visitors with the words “Tru Lam Phuong Hoang Zen Monastery”.

More remarkable is the Main Hall – the main item of the architectural complex designed to be tall and wide, in accordance with the traditional architecture of Vietnamese Buddhist culture.

The overall area of ​​the main campus (including the 1st and 2nd floors) is 3,000m2.

In front are the bell and drum floors, arranged next to the three gates to create a balanced and harmonious position.

Inside the main hall is decorated with a system of wall paintings to bring a large, artistic space.

And colorfully tells about the active life history of Shakyamuni Buddha from the time he was born to the end of his life.

Along with that is a system of sculptures of the Buddha Shakyamuni, Pho Hien and Manjushri Master Loi.

Patriarch Dat Ma and the temporary statue of Tam To Truc under the Tran Dynasty are Giac Hoang Dieu Ngu Tran Nhan Tong.

Truc Lam Second To Dong Kien Cuong Phap Loa and Truc Lam Third Patriarch Huyen Quang Ly Dao Tai.

The space of the Zen Monastery is always peaceful, joyful, present, in harmony with the scenery, charming mountains and water.
