Khe Ro is located in An Lac commune, Son Dong district, Bac Giang province; about 95km from Bac Giang city center to the east, about 145km from Hanoi to the northeast, along the route Hanoi – Bac Giang – Khe Ro.
Due to the high mountainous terrain, Khe Ro forest area has a fresh and cool climate with an average temperature of 24 – 28 0 C in summer; In winter, this place wears a warm coat from the interweaving of dense forest trees.
According to data from Bac Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Khe Ro primary forest has a total natural area of 7,153 hectares, located in three basins Khe Ro, Khe Din and Khe Nuoc Vang. The forest here is very rich in rare and precious animals and plants with 786 species of plants, 226 species of animals with many values in terms of economy, environmental protection, and genetic resources. Among the plant species, there are 43 rare species of plants such as cloves, lim, sen, tuu, cypress, po mu, chi, kim Giao, agarwood, flower slices, scales, trap leaves… Especially, in Khe Ro forest has a love tree over 500 years old, has witnessed the love stories of many generations of An Lac people who come here to make love to each other.
