Thien Quy Pagoda, built during the Ly Dynasty, is one of the temples with the most beautiful Buddha image in the province. In 1989, Thien Quy Pagoda was granted the recognition of “National-level cultural and historical relic”.
Every year at the beginning of Spring, Thien Quy Pagoda festival is solemnly held, praying for favorable weather, people’s prosperity and happiness with many rich activities such as: offering incense, sacrificing male and female mandarins; games of tug of war, cockfighting; contest of singing birds to greet crests and birds; badminton, table tennis competitions; cultural exchange between villages in the communeโฆ
This year’s festival lasts for 6 days, from the 10th to the 15th day of the first lunar month. At the opening ceremony, a large number of officials, people in the commune, and tourists from across the country witnessed the unique dragon dance, four spirit dance, and five-color procession of the village.
