Ms. Nguyen Thi Chuc, Head of the management of Canh Xanh Temple said: The temple resides on the campus of about 600m², with his back leaning against the mountain, far away from the meandering mountain water, surrounded by dragons and tigers. The temple door turns to the west where the Lo Giang river meanders. Like many temples in the Vietnamese countryside – the place where agricultural residents live and live, Canh Xanh temple is built according to feng shui theory: “Presentation, right, post occipital”. The unique architecture of the temple is made up of layers of green trees, luxuriant branches, and roots like a meandering dragon. In front of the temple, there is an ancient green tree (Xi tree) recognized as a Vietnamese heritage tree, shading the temple grounds. Therefore, when building the temple, the people here took the name of the ancient green tree to name the temple. Being the Queen of Thuong Ngan associated with mountains and forests and thousands of trees, people abstain from using the word “tree”.

The temple was originally a small shrine built in the second half of the 19th century, with materials such as thatch, bamboo, and leaves. Canh Xanh Temple was built by the ancients to worship the Holy Mother of Thuong thousand (or Lam Cung Thanh Mau), which people often call the Lady of Thuong Ngan, who governs the mountains and thousands of trees. Where people pay respect to the Holy Mother of God and express their wish for a peaceful life and good crops of people in the highlands.

Moon with four curved blades, by the method of socialization, is expected to be completed in 2021. In the temple, there are still some valuable artifacts, such as an ancient bronze bell, 3 great letters. in Chinese characters and 5 Daos of the Nguyen Dynasty. The main ceremony of the temple on the 18th day of the first lunar month; April 3 is a summer holiday; July 3, the summer holiday, August 20 of the death anniversary of Saint Tran;

According to legend, during the 18th Hung Vuong period, Tan Vien Son Thanh (Hung Vuong’s son-in-law) had a smart, beautiful, and talented daughter named La Binh, also known as Co Be. Wherever she went, the rain stopped, the cold stopped, animals rushed to make friends. The king gave her the title “Thuong thousand princesses who govern the forests of Nam Giao”. Since then, she has become the queen of the green forest. One day, Princess Thuong Ngan lowered the price to visit the great thousand. From the sky, she looked down at Lo Giang, the river was meandering, the cliffs were precarious, the moon was resting on its young head, casting a golden light on the river as soft as silk. Seeing the charming scenery, she lowered the price to stay here. That night, people in the village dreamed that a goddess with a radiant face, wearing a green hat, green belt, and splendid blue robe, descended on the lake. Animals from all over the world come to celebrate and stir up the whole mountainous region. In the morning, everyone told about the dream last night, then together went to the place to look. Strangely, there is only one green tree left here, the rhizomes are intertwined, the branches and leaves hang down like a fairy cave in all shapes and sizes. Seeing the strangeness, everyone brought incense and flowers to worship, then set up a small temple at the base of the tree to burn incense and smoke. As time went by, the green trees covered the sacred temple, finding it inconvenient for long-term worship, people in the area offered sacrifices to the Lady Thuong thousand to set up a temple in the green area like today… then set up a small temple at the base of the tree to burn incense and smoke.
