What are the historical sites of Cang and Don Nghia Lo ? This relic was very famous during the resistance war against the French colonialists, where the patriots were detained. This place is associated with Van Chan district – a large district in the western region of Yen Bai, characterized by mountainous terrain with overlapping messages, deep caves. From 1947 to 1952, the French occupied Van Chan, tortured and killed a series of patriotic soldiers and oppressed the people. To commemorate that glorious battle on July 25, 1992, Van Chan district built the Cang Nghia Lo memorial site to acknowledge the heroic comrades who died in 1945.
