Nguyen Thai Hoc Tomb Relic Area is a relic of Yen Bai province, with an area of ​​​​about 10,391m² including the tomb area, monument area, memorial stele, guest house area. Next to the grave area is a garden of fragrant flowers, with a mirrored lake and Yen Hoa park with small roads and green trees, next to Nguyen Thai Hoc Boulevard, in Hong Ha ward, Yen Bai city.

 

Initially, the grave site was located in the innermost area of ​​the cemetery of Nghia Lo town, after 1954, the locality gathered all the remains of citizens and soldiers who sacrificed themselves in the resistance war against the French to this area. build monuments and tombstones. Nguyen Thai Hoc relic site was started construction on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the hero’s death on June 17, 2000.

The main part of the relic is the tomb area designed with both modern and traditional colors, with an area of ​​300m² surrounded by 17 pillars, each with a height of 5m. The pillars are connected by a circle symbolizing the 17 martyrs executed by the French during the Yen Bai uprising, namely: Dang Van Tiep, Dang Van Luong, Nguyen Thanh Thuyet, Ngo Hai Hoang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Pho Duc Chinh, Bui Tu Toan, Bui Van Chuan, Dao Van Nhit, Nguyen Nhu Lien, Nguyen Van An, Nguyen Van Tiem, Ngo Van Du, Ha Van Lao, Do Van Tu, Nguyen Van Cuu, Nguyen Van Thinh.

In the middle of the grave, there are 2 mass mausoleums, rectangular built on 4 square pillars, paved with black marble, about 1m high. The two tombs are about 7m apart. Parallel to the two mausoleums to the right is a beveled block, this is a model simulating the guillotine blade of the French colonialists, also paved with black granite, on top is a line of gold inscribed with one of the two verses of Nguyen Thai. The memorial stele house is made of marble engraved with the names of 17 martyrs, covered with gold emulsion, the roof of the stele is mounted with comedy nose tiles on inclined concrete. The main part of the monument has an area of ​​​​56m² including 5 characters: Nguyen Thai Hoc, Nguyen Khac Nhu, Pho Duc Chinh, Nguyen Thi Giang and Ngo Hai Hoang, about 6m high with zinc-coated concrete, standing on a Stylized historical clouds. Surrounding the foot of the monument is a group of reliefs nearly 3m high, depicting the spirit of the martyrs fighting for independence and freedom in those revolutionary days.

On March 5, 1990, Nguyen Thai Hoc relic site was recognized by the Ministry of Culture as a national historical relic.
