Currently, 35-40% of enterprises using modern technology are industrial machines and the rest use semi-industrial machinery systems. However, due to the relatively large cost, the need for many auxiliary works for the machine and the large space, while many families in the village cluster are limited in terms of area and ancient roads.
Today, the products are exported not only to the domestic market but also all over the international market. Before 1986, the export market was very narrow, only the domestic market, but especially after the Government had the policy of opening up, the export market of craft villages was expanded to European countries. Americas and Asia. Products are also more diverse, the main items are towels, linens and silk instead of simple items of cloth, mosquito nets, jeans, satin pants, and mats as before.
Through research, it is known that the whole Thai Phuong commune has 3,347 households divided into 8 villages, 6 out of 8 villages are recognized as craft villages, of which in Phuong La village, there are over 1,500 households, 100% of these households. weaving, while in other villages such as Trac Duong and Nhan Xa, 70% of households are engaged in weaving. The turnover of direct exporting enterprises in CCN reaches from 3-5 million USD/year/enterprise.

Her family switched to using 2 earning machines in July 2016 with a cost of 230 million VND each. According to Ms. Lan, the new sword machine makes less noise and weaves faster than the previous wooden machine. Specifically, a wooden machine frame can only weave 3 sizes of towels, but an industrial sword machine can weave 6 sizes of towels, thus bringing a higher income to the family. Working 8-10 hours a day, Lan’s average monthly income is 8 million VND.
