The average electricity output per year is 1295 billion kWh. This is the 5th largest hydropower plant in the North of our country.

The reservoir of Na Hang hydropower plant is located in three provinces of Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan and Ha Giang. Na Hang Lake has a flood prevention capacity of up to 1 billion cubic meters. In particular, in case of necessity, the capacity can be expanded up to 1.5 billion cubic meters. As a result, Na Hang Lake has made an important contribution to flood prevention for the Red River Delta and almost completely cut off floods for the entire Tuyen Quang town. Na Hang Lake also creates an abundant water supply for the dry season of the Red River Delta and neighboring provinces. At the same time, it plays an important role in the economic and social development and protection of national security and defense for the Northern region. Timelines in the process of construction and development of Na Hang Hydropower Plant: On April 19, 2002, the Prime Minister officially approved the investment in construction of Na Hang Hydropower Plant. On December 22, 2002, the project was officially put into construction. On June 1, 2007, According to Decision 436/QD-EVN-HĐQT, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company was established. On January 31, 2008, Unit 1 of Na Hang Hydropower Plant was officially put into operation. On May 30, 2008, Unit 2 came into operation. In October 2010, Na Hang hydropower project was tested and handed over. Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company officially took over the operation and management and changed it to Tuyen Quang Hydropower Plant. April 11, 2011, The office was moved from Na Hang to Tuyen Quang. Na Hang hydroelectricity was built with the top of the dam 10 meters wide, the average water level rose was 36 meters. The reservoir has a capacity of 2245 billion cubic meters. There are 3 units in total with a total design capacity of 342 MW. The project has been under construction for 5 consecutive years. Engineers and workers here had to excavate 13 million cubic meters of soil and rock, pour 95103 cubic meters of concrete, drill 101103 meters long and install 15103 tons of equipment.
