Visit Nam Dinh Cathedral

Tran Hung Dao Ward, Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh, VietNam

Built 120 years ago (in 1895), Nam Dinh Cathedral is imbued with French architecture with simplicity, strength but no less sophistication. Located on Do Quan wharf, the main side of the church faces Tran Hung Dao street – the central street of Thanh Nam. In front of the church is a large square, with a flower bed, a metal statue of the Virgin Mary, a ceremony courtyard and a palanquin. Although the church is not too big, it always has a solid majesty, and has long been considered the center of Christianity in Nam Dinh city, where major holidays are always held. Coming to Nam Dinh, you cannot help but visit this ancient Cathedral.
