She later became Queen under the Ly dynasty, helping the king in the state of the country, preserving the food store. She was killed by the enemy while distributing wages to help the villagers. Appreciating her generosity, the king named her Phuc Than. Co Me people were grateful and established Ba Chua Kho Temple at the location of the old food warehouse on Khoi Mountain.
The temple was established in the Ly Dynasty, originally a small temple. During the Le Dynasty, it was restored and expanded to become a large temple area with many construction items: Tam Quan gate, road, courtyard, front court, second palace, harem – a sanctuary worship center with a statue of Princess Carved very elaborately and skillfully. Experiencing the destruction of time and war, in 1989, Ba Chua Kho Temple was ranked as a National Historical – Cultural relic by the State and restored, embellished and expanded on a large scale by Bac Ninh province. including many architectural works such as: Tam Mon Gate, Tien Sac Gate, Third Palace, Second Palace, Upper Palace (Ba Chua Palace), Son Trang Court, Lau Co, Lau Cau, altar “Nine Trung Thien” and some other ancillary works. Most of the work items were restored, embellished with traditional appearance and honored the value of the monument.
On January 12 every year, to commemorate the anniversary of Ba Chua Kho’s death anniversary, Co Me villagers and visitors from all over the world often organize incense offerings, arrange offerings to Ba Chua Kho, and offer offerings to altars in the Temple area. the names are: Tien Sa, The Four Palaces, The Second Palace, The First Palace (Three Courts of the Holy Mother); worship Buddha at the village temple and worship Tam Giang in the communal house. The offerings that can be offered include vegetarian festival, salty ceremony, live food ceremony, Son Trang ritual, fruit, incense, and comb mirror.
Visitors from all over the world come to the temple to pray for peace and good fortune, but most of them come to “borrow money” from Ms. Chua Kho, hoping for a year of abundant capital, prosperous business… The “borrowing capital” ritual is also very clearly, people write in the register how much to borrow, what to do, and how long to pay. Some people even promise to borrow 1 pay 3, pay 10… with the concept that they have to pay if they have borrowed, so whether they do good business or not, people still keep their promises, that is, year-end thanksgiving in Vietnam. During the New Year, around the Temple there are hundreds of shops selling sacrifices, crowded with people coming in and out. The ceremony tray is purchased arbitrarily by pilgrims, when it is simply an incense card, a flower with a few sets of money in the underworld, sophisticated, a plate of chicken with sticky rice, or a full tray of five fruits… prayer heart.
