Coming to Ban Van, visitors will learn about unique Thai dishes such as sticky rice, grilled fish, lam rice – an indispensable specialty during the holidays. In the past, the food that Thai people used every day was glutinous rice, sticky rice is a typical dish of Thai people. From sticky rice, Thai people can make sticky rice and mix it with corn or cassava or dye the leaves to make five-color sticky rice. In addition to sticky rice, Thai people also process sticky rice into lam rice – a favorite dish of tourists and also a gift full of Northwest flavor for tourists to return home. Not far from the town, but Van village still retains the wild and rustic features of the Thai people.

Here, visitors will see the houses on stilts looming beside the bamboo groves, the terraced fields winding around the village, the green corn and cassava fields creating a poetic natural scene.
