Afternoon cave consists of 2 floors, after going through the stone steps, visitors will encounter the first floor, where the length is about 50m, the width is more than 40m, the ceiling dome has an average height of about 55m.

The space is airy, visitors can breathe normally without worrying about the pressure causing lack of air like when entering the narrow caves.

Over thousands of years of wear and tear, the stalagmites in Chieu cave have complex, rough, and winding shapes.

Sparkling stalactites sprouted from everywhere, stalactites drooped from above, and from both sides were rough due to water intrusion.

There are also rare white stones due to small stalactites falling from the ceiling of the cave, which can be built up for thousands of years, creating a shape that looks as porous as a coral reef.

Going deeper into the cave, stalactites begin to appear clearer shapes, just like meticulously carved statues.

There are stalagmites that look like a big eagle, embracing the cave wall, some stalagmites look like lizards, lions, wild animals…

The water dripping down the sparkling stalactites makes the statues of nature come alive, soulful, at first glance as ethereal as beautiful gems.

At the end of the first floor, visitors will see the stairs leading down to the second floor of Chieu cave.

The first floor is already enchantingly beautiful, the second floor is more mysterious.

As soon as you step down to this floor, visitors will immediately see a beautiful, pure white stalactite shaped like a girl sitting quietly, looking patiently.

The deeper you go into the space, the more humid it is due to water intrusion, making the cliffs more and more eroded, the landscape is also more and more magical, the stalactites are also increasingly complex and sophisticated.

Going to Afternoon Cave, visitors will be impressed with the statue of a Thai girl, with a delicate face, a head scarf carrying a child as a symbol of motherhood and life.

At the end of the cave, visitors will encounter a small, clear, fresh, murmuring stream constantly flowing down, the cave wall looks like a great mosaic of mussels.

The light shines on the water flowing down the silver stalactites, the mysterious scene is super heartwarming.

The magnificent Mai Chau Afternoon Cave is also an ideal place for visitors to hunt for excellent backlit photos.

Especially when the sun shines through the interstitial rocks and enters the cave entrance, it brings an unbelievable fantasy image.

A photograph that captures that magical contrast of light with a touch of sensibility in the art of installation can instantly turn you into a great photographer.
