The reason for the name “Da Trach” is because amaranth is located right in the Nhat Da Trach lagoon, in the territory of Da Trach commune today. And called Hoa temple because it is said that this is the castle background of Chu Dong Tu – Tien Dung left after they all flew to heaven.

Hung Due Vuong came to the place to see and establish the temple, and people in four seasons to sacrifice, etc.), the Hoa temple has existed for a long time.
The stories of the 5th century Trieu Quang Phuc prayed for an island here, in the 15th century Nguyen Trai and Tran Nguyen Han came here to pray for dreams, in the 16th century Tao Dan poets wrote poetry in Chu Dong Tu bay, with the sentence ” Heroic spirit ” The shrine follows each incense smoke ” so since then there has been a shrine, a temple to worship Chu Dong Tu – Tien Dung in this place. But the small scale, the construction materials and the exact place where the old temple is located is very difficult to determine.
Da Trach Temple at that time was located on a high hill, people who wanted to enter the temple had to take a boat. In the years when the temple is open, a bamboo bridge must be built for people to pass through. Stepping up the mound, the old men still had to climb 19 steps to reach the temple courtyard.
The present Hoa Da Trach Temple was restored about 100 years ago. The surrounding ponds and lagoons were filled, leaving only a small semicircular lake in front of the temple. Stepping up to the temple today only has to climb 4 steps.
Hoa Da Trach Temple looks straight to the East, built in the style of the letter I (public) with three splendid buildings. The third most beautiful court, ie the harem, has a three-tiered dome, evoking the feeling of standing in a boat compartment. The main hall, in the middle are three large statues, the statue of Chu Dong Tu sitting in the middle, wearing a royal robe. On the left is Tien Dung, on the right is Noi Trach Tay Cung.
Also in the main room, on the right is the altar of Father and Mother Chu Dong Tu. On the left is the altar of Long Ngai, the Da Trach Vuong Trieu Quang Phuc. Trieu Quang Phuc was formerly worshiped in a separate temple. Due to the ruins of this temple, the villagers returned here.
Da Trach Temple is a large and beautiful temple, many large iron columns, many horizontal concubines, parallel sentences praising the legend, honoring Saint Chu and His Dao:

Also at Hoa Da Trach temple, the left nave has a statue of a fish god. It is “Be Ngu god mandarin” . Wooden statue, painted with gold paint, dragon’s head, body and tail in the shape of a carp, known as “Mr. Be” by the people.
Along with the altar and the statue of Mr. Be are two horses, one red and one white. Legend has it that Chu Dong Tu – Tien Dung often rode horses to places of treatment for people. Both fish and horse statues have wheels. On festival days, the villagers bring out the procession, people walking on both sides hold umbrellas.
Opposite the throne to worship Mr. Be, is an altar, next to the incense bowl is a stick, the tip of the stick is upside down. The magic hat and stick are the expression of Chu Dong Tu’s fairy magic to cure diseases and revive people.
Hoa Da Trach Temple overlooks a lake, in front of the lake there is a bell tower. This bell was cast in the 14th year of Thanh Thai (in 1902) named Da Trach from Chung (the bell of Da Trach temple). There are also two stone steles, dating back to the 17th year of Gia Long (1819).
Hoa Temple is located deep in the Da Trach lagoon, famous for its solemnity and sacredness. On the mound behind the temple today, there are still a few old trees, giving Hoa temple a dark, mysterious and estranged beauty. The sacred atmosphere in the temple is mixed with the scent of incense, flowers, in the middle of summer, it is quiet and cool here. Behind the curtain, the hammock door is a shimmering candlelight that brings people back to their ancestors, the origin of the nation in the past, people love each other, harmonize with nature, fight the enemy and build the homeland.
About 4000 years ago, the history of the temple was recorded in the pedigree of the temple. After Chu Dong Tu married Princess Tien Dung at the natural beach of Man Chau (a love affair determined by heaven), the king and his father did not agree to marry him. Do not supervise the return of the palace, stay in the Chu Dien district to earn a living.
One day, Chu Dong Tu went out to sea by boat to do business, washed up on an island, met Tien Ong named Ngong Quy Tien, he saw Dong Tu’s unusual appearance, so he kept it and taught him some herbal remedies. forest to save the world and teach magic. After 3 days in the fairy cave, Dong Tu learned about the treatment, Tien Ong allowed Dong Tu to return, gave Dong Tu a stick and a hat and told him: ” The magic is in here, what do you need in your family? When King Due Vuong saw this, he thought that his son-in-law was about to usurp the throne, so the king immediately brought his army to catch the crime. When the king’s army arrived, the whole castle suddenly disappeared, leaving there a Tram, called Tram Nhat Da, that was the night of the 17th of the 11th lunar month. Hence the legend of ” Da Trach Dam ” that we know today.
