Cua Tu is a destination that deserves to be included in the must-conquer list if you are a trekking lover.
Although tourism services in Hoang Nong commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province, where Cua Tu stream flows, have not yet developed. But the wildness of the mountains, rapids and many challenges and difficulties to go all the way on this road still attracts young people who are adventurous and love to explore everywhere.
Cua Tu is a stream located about 45 km from the center of Thai Nguyen city, in Hoang Nong commune, Dai Tu district, flowing down from Tam Dao range, along the length of the commune and then into the Cong river.
There are many different interpretations of the name Cua Tu, each person believes a story. One version is that the local soldiers used the tactics of fighting the enemy of the ancients, luring the enemy to go upstream of Cai stream, the beautiful scenery of the mountains and forests where Cua Tu had distracted the enemy and forgot about the mission and our soldiers inherited. opportunity to destroy, to set up many victories in this Cua Tu.
Dreamers like the romantic, faithful love story of a couple from feudal times who swore to each other. They held hands, went together against Cai stream, climbed over big rocks, went forever into the wild mountains by the cool stream, despite the people’s objections and dissuaded: “There is only way for them to fly in there. death”…
Go all the way through the tea hills of Hoang Nong to Cua Tu 1. There is only one such entrance. Cua Tu 1 is a long, deep puddle, cold and clear water flowing between the two sides of the cliff.
The road to Cua Tu 1 is quite easy, suitable for those who like picnics and camping. Therefore, this is the favorite destination of many groups of young people on weekends.
Summer is the ideal season, but it is also dangerous to conquer Cua Tu if it rains. Cua Tu is gentle, clear springs are nestled between the mountains, but the deeper you go into the forest, the faster the water flows, the rocks also become more slippery.
From Cua Tu 2 to Cua Tu 7 few people discover because this route is for those who like adventure.
Our group set off at 8am to conquer 3 gates in one day. Because it had rained the day before, the forest road was dense, slippery and wet. In the process of crossing the forest, crossing the waterfall, there is always a guide to ensure safety and to be guided in the most careful way.
Near noon, we met the waterfall trough between Cua Tu 2 and Cua Tu 3, which is a stone slide created by thousands of years of water erosion. After enjoying water skiing, we continued to go deep into Gate 3, met waterfalls that poured white foam from above. Around, on the moss-covered cliffs, the tree trunks are rooted in tangled manner.
After a long road, Gate 3 is a place to rest, immerse in the cool water and enjoy swimming and playing.
From Gate 3, we turned to another road to return to Cua Tu 2, stopping at a waterfall more than 10m high. Because of instructions and full life jackets, all members of the group bravely jumped from a height of 7m.
In Cua Tu forest, each blade of grass is reaching for the sun, a rotten branch still blooms into a bunch of flowers.
Here, there is no noise and dust of crowded afternoons.
Cua Tu only has the scent of grass and flowers by the cool stream.
With a distance of about 30km from Cua Tu 1 to the highest peak of Tam Dao range (1590m) through all 7 gates, we have an appointment to return to conquer this road on the nearest day.
