Forbidden Pagoda  is the place of worship of Lord Nam Phuong. Later, due to the deterioration of the neighboring temple, the statues of this temple were combined with the temple of Nam Phuong princess. Therefore, the temple is worshiped in the following form: Pre-Buddhist, Post-Saint. Because of that, people around the area still call it the Forbidden Pagoda.

Currently,  Lord Nam Phuong  is worshiped in many different places, but most prominently in Hai Phong. The Lord usually appears dressed in white, accompanied by two maids who are also dressed in white. The worshiping ceremony for Princess Nam Phuong includes the following items:

  • White or red clothes.
  • 7 pieces of betel nut with phoenix wings (or 5 pieces of betel nut is fine).
  • 7 roses (or 5 flowers of each kind).
  • Sweet fruit 5 different fruits.
  • White water (lavie or aqua bottle).
  • Incense lit.

After the ceremony, the faithful from all over the world placed offerings and made vows at the temple of God.
