2. Ideal time to check-in Mai Chau flagpole
The best season to check-in Mai Chau falls between April and June, the weather is clear, sunny, and the air is fresh. Or the period from September to October when the rice season is ripe, dyeing the entire valley yellow.

The road to Mai Chau is quite easy. You can travel by car or book a private car service or catch a bus from My Dinh wharf. If you are passionate about traveling and exploring, motorbikes will be very suitable for you.

To make it easier, you can drive through National Highway 6 along the route Hanoi – Nguyen Trai – Ba La – Xuan Mai – National Highway 6 – Thung Khe – Mai Chau. When driving by motorbike, remember to bring all documents and personal belongings to avoid trouble on the way. Right in Xuan Mai area, there are often traffic police stations, so remember to drive with the allowed speed.
