Con Son – Kiep Bac relic  complex is a particularly important national relic of our country, having a superficial scale with charming landscape that attracts tourists to visit every year. Con Son relic site  is located between the Phoenix and Ky Lan mountain ranges with mountains, pagodas, towers, pine forests, streams and famous relics associated with the lives of many famous people in history.

Con Son Pagoda

Con Son Pagoda  (known as Hun pagoda) located at the foot of Con Son mountain has the word Thien Tu Phuc Tu which means the temple is blessed by heaven. The pagoda was built in the early 14th century as one of the three centers of Truc Lam Zen sect next to Yen Tu Pagoda and Quynh Lam Pagoda (Quang Ninh). Experiencing changes in history,  today’s Con Son Pagoda  is reduced to the architecture of the Le Dynasty, including works such as Tam Quan, Tien Duong, Thieu Huong and Thuong Dien.

Visiting  Con Son Pagoda , in addition to the unique architectural works, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about Ngoc well. Ngoc Well is located at the foot of Ky Lan mountain, on the way to Ban Co Tien, behind is Dang Minh stupa – where the venerable Huyen Quang is located. Located at a higher position than the roof of Con Son pagoda, Ngoc well is always full of water in every season. The ancients believed that Ngoc well was the bloodline of Con Son mountain and was the eye of Ky Lan. This is not only a precious water source of the monument but also a tourist attraction with many spiritual values. From Ngoc well, you follow the stone steps to climb to the top of Con Son, where there is Ban Co Tien – where Nguyen Trai and his ancestors stopped to play chess. From the top of Con Son, a majestic mountain area shrinks into the sight of the traveler.

In 1330, the Third Holy Ancestor Huyen Quang expanded the pagoda and established the Nine Products Lien Hoa. In 2017, this work was successfully embellished, creating an architectural highlight in the pure and sacred landscape of Con Son place. The Nine Products Lien Hoa Court consists of 9 floors of Food and a Food House. The House is built entirely of ironwood, heartwood, Thanh Hoa green stone, restored comedy nose tiles and thousands of Bat Trang bricks. With a structure of 3 floors, 12 roofs, the whole building is like an elegant lotus with 3 layers of blossoming petals. The 9-storey octagonal nine-storey Lien Hoa tower is 10.3 m high with intricate carvings and sculptures. All create a unique creative art work of Buddhism only in Vietnam.

Temple of Nguyen Trai

The highlight in  the Con Son scenic area  is the temple of national hero, world cultural celebrity Nguyen Trai whose name is “Uc Trai Linh Tu”. The temple is located at the foot of Ngu Nhac mountain, Ky Lan, leaning against To Son, forming the posture “left dragon, right white tiger”. The temple includes works such as Main Temple, Ta Vu, Huu Vu, Nghi Mon internal, Nghi Mon foreign, Thac Ngoc Bridge, Temple of Justice, etc., bearing the architectural style of the post-Le era. Around the temple is the Con Son stream that flows day and night like the sound of a harp reverberating between the green mountains and forests, which has entered poetry and history books.

In particular, in the harem of the Main Temple, there is a bronze statue of Nguyen Trai, 1.4m high, 600kg, and a statue of his father and mother. Nguyen Trai Temple is the place to keep the soul, personality, and great virtues of this world cultural celebrity.

Kiep Bac Temple

Kiep Bac Temple  , about 5km from Con Son relic site, is the place to worship Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan. The name Kiep Bac is because the temple is located on a valley between the two villages of Van Yen (Kiep village) and Duoc Son (Silver village). Kiep Bac Temple  has an extremely favorable location overlooking the Thuong River, behind is the majestic Dragon Mountain, on the left is Bac Dau Mountain, on the right is Nam Tao Mountain, where the air gathers to build an inheritance. The temple includes Tam Quan works, Ngoc well, temples worshiping Hung Dao Vuong, Pham Ngu Lao, Princess Thien Thanh – wife of Hung Dao Vuong and two daughters of Nhi Vi Vuong. Currently, the temple has kept 7 bronze statues of great cultural and spiritual value.

Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival  is held from August 15 to 20 every year to commemorate the death of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen. Trai.
