1. About Nom village in Hung Yen 

Nom village  is located in Dai Dong commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province, only 20km away. This is an ancient village that many tourists visit to find the ancient beauty of the Northern countryside. This place is associated with immense green rice fields or old houses with a history of several hundred years.

It is known that the old village communal house was built in the Later Le Dynasty, then was built and restored to a greater extent in the Nguyen Dynasty.

If you have been to Nom village once, visit  Nom market  once to feel the most authentic country market in Vietnam. The market located opposite the gate of Nom pagoda is always busy with buyers and sellers. The image of a blacksmith under a banyan tree or an old woman chewing betel nut and her hand knitting baskets appears vividly, making visitors think they are going back in time to the past. 

 

 

The picture of the countryside market most fully reflects the idyllic and dear life of the northern countryside. Right from the beginning of the alley, you will hear the greetings of the ladies and gentlemen carrying the baskets to the market. Almost all items for daily life from restaurants to necessary items are for sale at the market.
