According to the jade genealogy of the great kings worshiped by the villagers of Dong Du: under the reign of Tran Thuan Tong (1388 – 1398), in the Quang Thai era, there was a Nguyen family named Dai Pham, a native of Hoa Phong district, Hai Dong country. husband and wife with Do Thi Uyen from Dong Du page. Husband and wife lived together very harmoniously, after 3 years, they gave birth to a son. A few years later, five more sons were born. Because the eldest son was born under a pine tree, he was named Ba Tung, the second son was Trong Bach, followed by Trong Minh and Trong Man. The last two children were named Quy Hong and Quy Nghi by the couple.

To fulfill his dream at a young age, to become a mandarin, wearing a brocade robe of honor, Dai Pham bid farewell to his wife and children and went to study in Bao Thien ward in the Thang Long capital. After years of grinding history, in the 9th year of Quang Thai (1397), he won first place in the Dinh exam. Dai Pham was appointed Thua Tuyen government of Nam Sach, town of Hai Duong, and after two years was promoted to An Phu of Hoa Chau.
During his time as a mandarin, he was generous, fair, considered the people as his own blood, and treated everyone with kindness. The land he looked after was free of theft, and the people were living in peace. The king was very respectful, allowing him to collect the tax of a commune. Since then, the people of Dong Du Everyone was imbued with his grace, every house was rich in wealth, and the land was fertile. At that time, there was a foreign noble who liked the Tran dynasty, Ho Quy Ly, who tried to take the military power to his hand. In the year of the Rabbit, the second Kien Tan era (1399), Quy Ly won the Tran dynasty, proclaimed the emperor, and named the country Dai Ngu. Many people’s courtiers were disgruntled, quit their positions, and stopped working with the Ho Dynasty. Dai Pham retreated to his hometown Dong Du, lamenting: “Let me be in the air to worship two kings”.
Dong Du communal house relic was ranked by the State in 1991. Today, Dong Du communal house historical relic is known by many tourists from all over the world and come to visit and offer incense at this relic.
